SkyDoc Upgrade Process

We release our new features on SkyDoc to coincide with NetSuite releases. Find out how to upgrade your account.  

 

 

Upgrade your SkyDoc Account

 

SkyDoc Upgrade is possible in any of the following scenarios:

  1. There is a feature that SkyDoc does not currently have
  2. Upgrading to the newest version of SkyDoc 
  3. Upgrade from SkyDoc Basic to SkyDoc Advanced

There is a feature that SkyDoc does not currently have

 

  1. If a customer is requesting an enhancement, then they communicate with their Customer Success Manager regarding the requirement.
  2. The SkyDoc development team will check its feasibility. 
  3. The SkyDoc team will suggest any possible alternative for the requirement if necessary and prepares a Scope of Work (SOW) document with an estimate for the number of hours and cost. 
  4. Customer Success Manager will share the SOW with the client for approval.
  5. The SkyDoc development team then develops and updates the customization in the customer’s sandbox account (if there is no sandbox, then enhancements are updated directly in production).
  6. The customer reviews and tests the customization. If it is working properly then the SkyDoc team will move it into their production account. 

Upgrading to the newest version of SkyDoc 

SkyDoc comes out with a product release at the same time as NetSuite Release

If you are interested in upgrading to the newest version of SkyDoc advanced, Please reach out to your Customer Success Manager to start the upgrade process 

  1. The SkyDoc team will request a login to the customer’s account to complete the install. The install takes about 4 hours.
  2. The SkyDoc team will perform some basic testing after the upgrade is successfully installed.
  3. After the SkyDoc team completes the testing, the customer is informed to test the new SkyDoc features from their end.
  4. A one-hour training session can be provided at the customer’s request to go over the new features newly installed. 

Upgrade from SkyDoc Basic to SkyDoc Advanced

SkyDoc comes out with a product release at the same time as NetSuite Release

If you are interested in upgrading to the newest version of SkyDoc advanced, Please reach out to your Customer Success Manager to start the upgrade process 

  1. The SkyDoc team will request a login to the customer’s account to set up, execute and monitor the upgrade process.
  2. Time taken for the process depends on the number of files in SkyDoc basic version.
  3. SkyDoc Advanced will be installed into your account. You will see 2 SkyDoc tabs during this installation process. 
  4. During this upgrade, all the files from the SkyDoc basic version are migrated to the SkyDoc advanced version.
  5. The client will check that all the files were migrated successfully into SkyDoc Advanced before we uninstall SkyDoc Basic
  6. Once the customer confirms that the migration is successful, then the SkyDoc team uninstalls the SkyDoc basic version from their account.
  7. A one-hour training session can be provided at the customer’s request to go over the new features newly installed.
